This division comprises of companies employing 11 or more operatives in any area of plumbing and also have a union collective agreement.
Members’ area of expertise includes commercial building/construction projects, major civil contract works, large residential apartments, office buildings, government and non government projects.
Information Sessions have been arranged and presented by the Australian Government (DEWR) to advise members operating under the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry.
Retention of Monies
‘Retention of Monies’ is one of the issues being discussed with the PIC and Marsh Insurance Brokers to establish a more satisfactory arrangement with building companies.
A survey seeking feedback from members affected by this issue has been distributed to members encouraging them to complete the survey which will be used by Marsh Insurance Brokers to lobby the goverment to adopt changes to the current system.
