2010 Elections

ELECTION OF NATIONAL COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES

AND

ELECTION OF DIVISION OFFICE BEARERS

 

 

Pursuant to Association Rules 20 and 23 candidate nominations are hereby called for:

a)   Election as Divisional Representative on the National Council: and
b)   Election to each office within each Division.

The period of office is 4 years.

NATIONAL COUNCIL DIVISIONAL REPRESENTATIVE

A member may only hold office as a Divisional Representative on the National Council and may only be nominated as such and be voted for in respect of that Division for which that member has a primary allocation under the rules.

A candidate for election as a National Council Divisional Representative shall be nominated only by a member that has primary allocation in the respective Division.

Each member of a Division may nominate one (1) candidate only.

MPMSAA NATIONAL COUNCIL REPRESENTATION

a)     The number of representatives on the National Council to be elected by each Division is as follows:

  • Services Industry Division                                                      8
  •  Environmental Plumbing Division                                        2
  •  Heating Ventilation and Cooling Division (HVAC)                2
  •  Metal Roofing and Cladding Division                                   2
  •  Construction Division                                                            2
  •  Fire Services Division                                                           2
  •  Asbestos Removal Division                                                   2
  •  Gas Services Division                                                           2
  •  Life Members Division                                                          2
DIVISION OFFICE BEARERS

b)    Candidates may be nominated and hold office in each Division to which they have been allocated by and from members of each division.

  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman
  • Honorary Treasurer, and
  • Six (6) Other Committee Members

 Nomination papers, each signed by the nominator and the candidate must be forwarded to reach me by 4.00 pm Thursday, 3 December 2009.

The results of the Elections will be declared at the Annual General Meetings of the various Divisions to be held in February 2010.
