Full Member Rights 

Full members can vote at all MPMSAA meetings, are eligible to hold office and are entitled to all privileges and services attached to membership.

Full members are eligible to be elected to MPMSAA industry divisional committees, and may nominate to be elected to hold a seat on the National Plumbing Council and the Executive Board.

Ability to Influence

  • As a full member your participation in plumbing industry forums and MPMSAA divisional meetings will be heard through the political process at State and Federal Government levels.
  • Your views, opinions and interests will be translated into policy recommendations to government departments and political representatives.
  • Full members may be invited to have representative roles on a standards, technical or regulation review committee. 

National Industry Divisions

Members of the Master Plumbers become eligible to join the specific industry division/divisions that best reflects your business profile and areas of expertise that is compiled when you apply for membership or renew.

Our National industry divisions are:

Occupational Health and Safety

The MPMSAA utilises a specialist team of in house safety officers to help members meet Workplace Health and Safety legal obligations.

Members are continually kept up to date with changing legislation, and even attitudes related to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) issues.

Training and Education


The MPMSAA’s accredited training programs are always up-to-date with changes in the industry. The MPMSAA is focused on meeting the training needs of its members and their employees. The MPMSAA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and facilitates training packages throughout Australia.

In 2004/5 there were 270 programs with over 41000 contact hours conducted regionally in QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and ACT.

MPMSAA Group Apprentice Scheme

MPMSAA members have access to apprentices employed by the MPMSAA Group Apprentice Scheme.

The Scheme is designed to allow plumbing businesses and contractors to engage apprentices for short periods, according to job demands, with minimal administration responsibilities and paperwork

  • Member Directory – Each  member can elect to be listed on the member website
  • Member Network – Your skills can assist other members in busy periods or assist on jobs they are not qualified to complete. A member has access to other member businesses who want your skills.

It is important to note the individual value of the referral can range from $300 to $100,000. Yellow Pages Directory

The Master Plumbers has for many years arranged listings in the Yellow Pages at special corporate rates for the benefit of those who would like to be placed under the Association’s logo.

Full members are eligible to be listed in a member directory in the Yellow Pages.

MPMSAA has a "Find your local Master Plumber" directory in both metropolitan, local and regional Yellow Pages.

The price of such an offer for members would be only $165 per listing in regional books and $220 in local books.
