household_solar_installation_handbook.pdf
This document was produced by the Master
Plumbers’ and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (MPMSAA) for the
Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) as an element
of the 2009 Low Emissions Hot Water Program.
This pilot plumber training program was
commissioned to build capacity in the plumbing industry for the installation
and maintenance of lower emissions hot water heating systems.
The program consisted of a two-staged
approach:
1. a pilot series of national training workshops in lower emissions hot
water systems; and
2. the development of this household solar hot water design and
installation handbook.
The program aims to promote the uptake of low
emission hot water systems in the lead up to the phase out of greenhouse
intensive water heaters, commencing during 2010, an initiative of the
Australian, state and territory governments.
